What is monitoring?
Alarm monitoring is a service provided by security companies to oversee the status of alarm systems installed in homes or businesses. When an alarm is triggered, such as in the event of a break-in, fire, or medical emergency, the monitoring center receives a signal indicating the alarm activation. Trained professionals at the monitoring center then assess the situation and take appropriate action, such as contacting the homeowner, and if necessary, alerting the authorities. This proactive approach enhances security by ensuring swift response to potential threats, providing peace of mind to property owners even when they are away.
The Importance of Cellular Monitoring
Cellular monitoring for alarm systems is crucial in thwarting potential security breaches. Unlike traditional phone line connections vulnerable to tampering, cellular monitoring utilizes wireless technology, making it resistant to physical sabotage. In the event of a break-in or emergency, cellular signals transmit alerts to monitoring centers swiftly and reliably, ensuring immediate response even if phone lines are cut. This advanced technology provides homeowners and businesses with uninterrupted security coverage, safeguarding their premises and assets against burglars’ attempts to disable communication channels. With cellular monitoring, peace of mind is bolstered, knowing that security remains robust and resilient against potential threats. Since its inception in 2009, Vigilant Security has used only cellular monitoring for all accounts.
